Such workshops (focusing on identified strategic thematic areas) and visits (e.g. small groups visiting targeted research laboratories) are organised on the occasion of the EuroAfriCa-ICT Cooperation Forums and the FP7/ICT Awareness Workshops.
ADDITIONAL SUPPORT SERVICES
Guidance and support services are provided free of charge to European and sub-Saharan African / Caribbean organisations developing (or interested in) cooperation projects in the ICT field, in particular projects to be submitted to FP7/ICT calls for proposals. Whenever possible the best is done to identify match-making opportunities and suggest European and sub-Saharan African / Caribbean organisations to connect in a given area for a specific purpose. Should you need any guidance, contact us.

- What is the 7th Framework Programme (FP7)?
|
FP7 stands for "the seventh Framework Programme of the European Community for research, technological development and demonstration activities". The Framework Programmes (FPs) have been the main financial tools through which the European Union supports research and development activities covering almost all scientific disciplines. FPs have been implemented since 1984 and cover a period of five years with the last year of one FP and the first year of the following FP overlapping. FP7 will, however, run for seven years (2007-2013) with a Community financial participation of around EUR 50 000 million for the period. It is designed to build on the achievements of its predecessor towards the creation of the European Research Area, and carry it further towards the development of the knowledge economy and society in Europe. Please visit the FP7 website for detailed information. |
